Real hope. Real answers. Real life.
In our walk with God, it’s easy to fall into the trap of basing our trust on what we feel rather than on what we know to be true. But when it comes to healing, relying on feelings can cause doubt to creep in. This blog will help you distinguish between faith and emotions, show you how to stay grounded in God’s Word, and encourage you to trust Him fully—regardless of what your body or circumstances may say.
Feelings can fluctuate wildly. One day, you might feel strong and full of faith; the next, symptoms may cause frustration or fear. But God’s promises remain steady. They aren’t affected by how you feel or by what you see happening in the natural. Numbers 23:19 says, “God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do it? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?”
“Feelings change, but God’s Word is forever true.”
This is why healing requires a shift from focusing on how you feel to focusing on what God has declared. His Word says, “By His stripes we are healed” (Isaiah 53:5). That statement is true whether you feel better or not, and holding onto it allows your faith to stay strong in the face of changing emotions.
Faith is not about denying reality; it’s about choosing to believe in a higher truth. Romans 4:20-21 says that Abraham “did not waver in unbelief at God’s promise but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, fully convinced that what God had promised, He was also able to do.” Abraham’s faith wasn’t tied to what he felt or saw; it was tied to the God who gave the promise.
“Faith is the anchor that keeps you steady when the storm of symptoms tries to blow you off course.”
When you encounter symptoms that challenge your belief in healing, return to God’s Word. Speak His promises aloud, thank Him for His faithfulness, and remind yourself that His truth is more powerful than any temporary condition.
“Faith grows when you feed it with God’s Word and starve it of doubt.”
2 Corinthians 5:7 reminds us that we “walk by faith, not by sight.” This means that we don’t base our trust in God on what we see or feel, but on what He has promised. When symptoms linger or emotions waver, it’s an opportunity to deepen your faith. Choose to keep your eyes on Him, speak His truth, and hold onto His Word with unwavering confidence.
“When you walk by faith, circumstances can’t shake your trust in God’s promises.”
Healing Is Found in Trust, Not Feelings
Your feelings may change, but God’s truth remains constant. By anchoring your faith in His Word, speaking life over your situation, and walking by faith rather than sight, you position yourself to receive the healing He has already provided. Don’t let emotions dictate your belief—stand firm in God’s promises, and watch as your faith carries you through to healing and restoration.
