Real hope. Real answers. Real life.
Healing is a topic that stirs many hearts. From physical ailments to emotional scars, we all long to be whole. The good news is that God’s Word offers clear, practical steps for walking in divine healing. In this foundational post, we’ll lay the groundwork for what healing means, why it’s God’s will, and how we can position ourselves to receive it.
One of the most important truths about healing is understanding that it is God’s will. The Bible consistently shows God as a loving Father who desires His children to be whole. Jesus, in His earthly ministry, revealed this over and over by healing the sick, opening blind eyes, and restoring the broken.
“God’s will is not sickness; God’s will is healing.”
When you know that God wants you well, your perspective shifts. You’re not begging a reluctant deity; you’re trusting a loving Father who already made provision for your healing through Christ’s finished work.
Faith is the currency of heaven. Just as money allows us to buy goods in the natural world, faith enables us to access the promises of God.
“Faith isn’t about wishing or hoping; it’s about knowing.”
When we approach healing, it’s not about how we feel in the moment but about what we believe. The Bible says that without faith it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6). Faith isn’t about denying the reality of pain; it’s about affirming the reality of God’s Word over the pain. When you stand on scriptures like Isaiah 53:5—“By His stripes, we are healed”—you are exercising faith that pleases God and moves mountains.
Some believe that miracles were only for biblical times, but nothing in scripture suggests they have ceased. On the contrary, Jesus declared that those who believe in Him would do even greater works (John 14:12). The book of Acts is filled with miraculous healings, demonstrating that the power of God did not stop with Jesus’ earthly ministry.
“Miracles are not relics of the past; they are reminders of God’s present power.”
When we study the Word and see how Jesus healed all who came to Him in faith, it becomes clear that miracles remain a vital expression of God’s love and authority. They remind us that God is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8).
“Healing isn’t something you earn; it’s something you receive.”
Healing is not a mystery; it’s a promise. By understanding the foundations laid out in God’s Word, you can build a strong, unshakable faith that paves the way for the miraculous in your life. Keep these truths at the forefront of your mind as we delve deeper into this teaching.
